Artist Statement...

Looking back, your life takes on a whole new meaning, from all the struggles one faces, to the joys your children bring... I've had the privilege of being apart of something bigger then myself on many occasions, and will continue to do so!

But through it all, I am thankful, I am flawed, I am blessed, and I am wise. I create because it is the gift I have been given that overcompensates for what I lack. We all have our struggles , we all have our weaknesses... I have led a life that has never been easy, from the struggles of being Dyslexic and the misfortunes of having ADHD, to being in an abusive marriage that has left scares on my very existence. I am timid and shy, I sometimes question other peoples attentions... I create, because it takes me to where I am my most happiest. I create, because it is my voice, my passion, my gift.

Artistic Background...

Dineen Roeller is a self-educated decorative artist, with a background in commercial arts and decorative faux painting. While still a high school student in Clearwater, Florida, she established herself as a free-lance artist in 1980. Dineen is credited with producing artistic renderings and artwork for major companies as Hall- mark, Panama Jack, Rutenburg and Wallaby Jack, just to name a few.

Her mural base clientele are both residential and commercially, with public works through out the Eastern United States... ranging from schools and pediatric professionals, to government buildings.

In the 90's, she studied under a Master Faux Painter and was the company's soul muralist in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dineen then instructed artisans under her supervision as the company grew. Later, Dineen relocated and was reestablished as Deco Haven Artistry in 1995. Over the years, she fashioned herself as a regional artist serving her community and donated a handful of murals to the Boy's & Girl's Club of America through The United Way, Birmingham, N.Y. , Aurora, In., Rising Sun, In., and Montrose, Pa.

Occasionally, her fine art pieces were represented through local art galleries in Asheville, N.C. and Cincinnati, Ohio. Inspired by the Renaissance, and the turn of the century with a vintage appeal. Dineen admires many of the artists who came before her, with many favorites such as Deviance, Gustav Klimt and Graham Rust.

Born Dineen Lori Stoeff, one of three daughter's of a Master Craftsman from Lorain, Ohio. By the age of two years old, shown great interest in being creative and drawing on huge sheets of paper her father had brought home for her. By the age of five, Dineen excelled in the arts with the understanding and perception of objects, actually painted shadows cased by objects in her finger-paintings in Kindergarten... As a young child, Dineen would then become aware that she was different from her classmates, and became apparently visible as time past. Dineen struggled with having both Dyslexia and ADHD. Much of her educational experience was a child where not found memories, hated school and the children who made it difficult. Being creative was her escape from reality and spent her days exploring the creative arts as it came naturally. Won honors and a scholarship to a drawing institute in her sophomore and junior years in high school. And as a Junior, she was an apprentice of an advertising firm, upon graduation high school in 1981, she became the head mechanical artist... along with establishing herself as a free-lance artist and commissioned to create artwork and logos on the side. a car accident would force Dineen to loos her position at the firm in 1986. Just 6 months after her marriage to husband Tom Roeller. The added stress to the marriage forced Dineen to push through and devoted herself to her art. In 1990,she painted her first mural for a girlfriends nursery, and blew up from there, says Dineen.

Now happily divorced, and residing in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. Focusing her creative efforts on visual arts and bringing creativity to others. Dineen is the organizer of an art group in Riverview, she is the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of three! Dineen's work is saurian, charismatic and softly detailed, an expression of her quiet nature.
